Tomato Fruit Small and not many in my Hydroponic System

by Ray
(PJ, Selangor, Malaysia)

I planted some tomato crops in a hydroponic system and realized that the fruits set on the tree are small in size and not many. Is it because of the fertilizer, or environments conditions?

Answer: Ray- the problem could be because of your fertilizer, but it could also be because of environmental conditions. Without more information about your hydroponic fertilizer program (and without more information about your particular environmental conditions), it would be impossible for me to give you anything more specific. You could have planted too late in the season (if under natural light). You may have interrupted the dark period (if under artificial light). The temperature may be too hot or too cold. It's possible they are not getting enough Phosphorus. If grown indoors, it's possible they were not pollinated properly. I would be happy to help you figure this out if you would send me as much detail about the conditions and feeding program as you can.
